Within a dense retail streetscape, the store establishes a clear and deliberate presence. Contrast with the surrounding context enhances street impact, marking the space as distinctly Rolla’s.
Rolla's

The Rolla’s Fitzroy store gives spatial form to the brand’s world through a composed yet expressive interior. Confidence is carried with restraint, with colour, form and texture articulated within a clear and controlled spatial framework.

The full collection—encompassing denim, apparel and accessories—is presented with clarity and ease. A restrained visual language structures the layout, establishing consistency while allowing the space to adapt as collections evolve.
Details are informed by the product itself, with subtle references to Rolla’s logo and back-pocket stitching embedded within the interior. Warm timbers and natural finishes lend familiarity and tactility, reinforcing an authentic connection between brand and environment.
Throughout the store, contrasts are carefully balanced—soft and hard, bold and restrained, organic and structured. Variations in material and tone articulate areas of differing intensity, creating depth and rhythm while keeping the focus on the clothing.
The Fitzroy store establishes a clear spatial foundation, reflecting the brand’s identity and supporting future growth. It is a framework designed to extend across new locations with coherence, longevity and restraint.
For Rolla's, our work has ranged from standalone destinations in Fitzroy and Brighton (VIC) to concession spaces within David Jones at Bourke Street, Melbourne (VIC); Elizabeth Street, Sydney (NSW); Kotara (NSW); Pacific Fair (QLD); and Queens Plaza (QLD). Each store interprets the brand’s DNA through its own context, balancing consistency with subtle variation to create a family of spaces connected by a shared identity.
